About Us
Rose mountain farm is an organic and sustainable farm located in Lansing N.C. I produce mixed garden vegetables, shiiitake mushrooms,eggs, lamb, pork, and pastured poultry. I start my own plants in the greenhouse and save seed every year so that my seed are acclimated to my specific growing climate. All of the livestock are in species specific grouping and are free to roam and live as free as possible. The Great Peryanese help to protect them from the native predators in this mountain region. The farm is ever changing to meet market demands. Intensive crop rotation and livestock rotation is a continuum to aid in healthy soil maintenance. composting is an ever constant process to enhance greenhouse soil.

My dogs ( banjo and Fiddle) are sheep guardian dogs and are very friendly to humans but are aggressive to other dogs. It is their job to keep the flock safe from coyote. They are shepherds. This is why I ask that visitors so not bring their pets to the farm.
All of my birds for pastured poultry are from a hatchery and are brooded on my farm and put out to grass as soon as weather permits. I have feed custom milled at local on farm mill with my ingredients. All birds are also processed by me on farm and chilled instantly. Then frozen at 24 hours.
